Abstract
THE CUSTOMER: The client is a leading insurance company, dedicated for over 100 years to
understanding and preparing innovative personal insurance plans, as well as to
analyzing and managing the risks that companies incur in terms of financial
opportunities.
It’s a company with over 60 million dollars in assets and a broad technological
infrastructure.
THE PROBLEM:
Since they are a company with a very broad technological infrastructure, the
process of tracking and follow-up of technological changes was very hard to
control, even more so in an environment as dynamic as IT.
The corporation needed to institutionalize technology standards across all
organizational levels, and it was a must that they be strictly adopted, following
efficient and continuous management mechanisms.
We needed not only to come up with a tool that could handle these requirements,
but also to structure processes that made it possible for the whole organization to
absorb, to understand, the benefits that stemmed from the rational use of
standards-based technology, following well defined technological guidelines and
doing so while aligned with the strategic projection of the business and in sync
with the corporation’s architectural framework.
