Abstract:
One of the up-and-coming advertising channels to watch is mobile marketing. With an estimated 1.4 billion mobile phone subscribers in the world today, there are now more mobile subscribers than there are landline phone subscribers. What’s more, 15% of the more than 350 billion text messages exchanged across networks every month are commercial or marketing messages. While the market is not yet as robust in the United States as it is in Europe, mobile marketing holds big promise, offering a captive audience with potentially higher click-through and conversion rates than conventional interactive advertising.
