IT Governance & Project Management
Milwaukee, Wi | April 12th, 2006
Strategic IT development projects are initiated to advance an organization's business and achieve something beyond its current capabilities. Since these projects are extremely important to the future of the company, IT Managers are under great pressure to deliver successful results on time and on budget.
Every IT project involves associated risks which could impact the project in the form of diminished quality of the end product, increased costs, delayed completion, or failure. All of which have the potential to adversely affect the organization. As a result, IT Managers have had to become experts at mitigating risks. Meeting requirements and bug testing are no longer adequate. Risk management is now an art form - a critical element of each step of the project lifecycle. |
