    Dr. Chuck Brooks is a senior technology leader and visionary in big data, analytics and data science. Over a career that spans nearly 40 years, Dr. Chuck has developed multiple large data repositories based on ever advancing data technologies, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, NewSQL databases, graph databases, data discovery tools  and data modeling tools. Dr Chuck has helped hundreds of companies make better business decisions, generate more revenue and integrate operationally siloed business units with data and comprehensive data strategies.

    In his current role of Director of Data Strategy for AAA Auto Club Group (ACG), Dr. Chuck is implementing a data strategy within the Google Cloud Platform where dynamically scalable architectures, serverless services and state of the art discovery and analytics tools make it easier than ever before to help ACG focus on customer needs and satisfaction while generating more corporate value.

    Deepinder Singh Uppal is an Assistant Division Director, Chief Innovations Officer and Chief Data Steward for the Michigan State Police. In this role, Deepinder has conceptualized, co-designed, and led project teams to implement the first hybrid MapReduce environment for the State of Michigan's large-scale data integration initiative. Additionally, he has innovated on numerous State and Federal projects to provide legislative insight into Data Governance, IoT: Smart City Initiatives, and the application of Artificial Intelligence to State and Federal Threat Analytics portfolios.  Deepinder Singh has played an important role in academics, policy research, and large-scale data integration projects in the roles of professor, academic administrator, and director for numerous centers in the fields of academics and nonprofit research.

    Daren Hubbard is currently Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice President for computing and information technology (C&IT) at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.  As the CIO, Daren is responsible for the university’s computing and networking facilities, datacenter operations, enterprise software applications, learning management environments, high-performance research computing, voice services, information security, and IT support services.

    With over 20 years of experience in higher education leadership, Daren has expertise in application development, project management, and mobile technology.  Mr. Hubbard and C&IT are presently helping drive Wayne State forward to support its urban research university mission, by working with the campus to provide a superior technology experience to students, faculty, staff and other constituents.  Daren also serves as board chair of Merit Networks board of directors.
       

    Chek Teck Poh, Exec Director Technology Strategy and Management, Consumers Energy

    During his nearly 20 years in business technology, Chek has overseen critical components of revenue-generating application systems on a global scale with multiple international teams. He orchestrated multiple programs and practices involving major custom application releases, external client integration projects, infrastructure projects, and applications operations across data centers and clients' locations across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Consumers Energy, Chek served as a business executive responsible for Managed Services solutions delivery and global strategic programs with a Michigan-based IT Services organization. He also served as a technology executive responsible for the overall corporate business technology and mobile product development direction. Chek earned his MBA in Information Systems, MS in Engineering Sciences, and BS in Electrical Engineering degrees from the University of Toledo.

Tom has a solid IT background with a primary focus on, Healthcare, Commercial Enterprise and Financial verticals. In the ever-changing IT world, he monitors and evaluates existing and new technologies and processes, keeping clients up-to-date with technology advancements that facilitate maximum value towards transformational change for their business.Tom has a 25 year background as a technology practitioner and has led change in banking, finance, healthcare, and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining US Signal, Tom’s latest position was VP of Information Technology and Enterprise Architect for a large publicly traded financial institution.
