Keynote Presentation:

Designing Your Leadership Style
-
Bob Nuber, Managing Director, Digital Technology, Tribune Publishing Co.

Establishing an effective leadership style in the modern IT climate is becoming even more critical as it becomes more complex.  Driving both need and difficulty are the rapid pace of change in everything we touch, the expanding diversity of our teams and the continual evolution of corporate directives.  Finding the right leadership model requires triangulating between organizational expectations, the needs of your team members and your authentic voice.  The speaker presents three frameworks, two drawn from the literature, that he uses with developing leaders to speed up their discovery process.

BIO: Bob leads a global team responsible for the architecture, development and operations of the central content management and delivery systems that power the web and mobile app presence of Tribune’s eight major newspapers and numerous local dailies and weeklies. These systems  serve half a billion page views per month on a mixed stack that includes Java, Ruby on Rails and .NET technologies.  Bob joined Tribune in 2012 with over 25 years of experience guiding software development and managed services delivery for businesses ranging from startups to multinational enterprises.
