Roman Dumiak is currently Director of Technology Innovation for the Allstate Insurance Group. His focus includes directing and facilitating efforts utilizing innovative software and hardware solutions from the ideation phase through implementation as part of Allstate Technology and Strategic Ventures. Previous experience has included roles in application development, database administration, network engineering and enterprise architecture. He also functioned as a senior strategic planner working with the Enterprise Infrastructure Services group, playing a key role in their Business Service Management effort to reengineer an organization of 1,100 people into a service-centric model, optimizing their ability to deliver and run the Allstate technology infrastructure. Mr. Dumiak has a B.S. in Math and Computer Science from the University of Illinois and a Masters in Telecommunications.

Mark Alicz is the Chief Technology and Security Officer for Stonegate Advisors, a company that provides market intelligence, data solutions, and other software products to healthcare companies. Mark is a technology leader with nearly 20 years of experience in application and database development, IT Management, as well as information security in the highly regulated healthcare industry. Mark is known for his ability to ideate, build and deploy best-in-class platforms and solutions that create value and solve real-world healthcare problems. Prior to joining Stonegate, Mark served as the Information Systems Director for large healthcare association.

In his nearly 20 years in IT Mike has held roles a variety of roles. In this current role Mike leads a team of developers and architects to produce world class online shopping experiences for one of America’s iconic retail brands. Among his current responsibilities, the continued evolution and refinement of Crate and Barrel’s agile development practice remains a source of passion and top priority. The introduction of pair programming, test driven development, and continuous integration are just a few of the many initiatives currently under Mike’s guidance. His team recently made the change to Amazon Web Services for hosting and is moving toward a cloud first architecture.

To further evolve Crate and Barrel’s eCommerce architecture Mike is leading the effort to introduce a micro services architecture and decouple monolithic systems into a federation of loosely coupled application components, providing greater flexibility and extensibility, while being more testable and compatible with agile practices

His leadership responsibilities at Sears includes building high-performing lean teams, driving operational excellence and leading cross-functional teams. Strong expertise and broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies. His interests include IoT, Open Source and application of convergent technologies.
