Tom Drez, CIO/CPO/CSO/Managing Director CIPP, Christian Brothers Services

Tom Drez serves as Chief Information Officer and Managing Director of the Information & Technology Services (ITS) Division of Christian Brothers Services (CBS). Tom joined CBS in 1987 to lead the division and take on the responsibility to strategically apply information technology to the business as an enabler to achieve desirable results. The ITS Division provides for operations, software and website design and development, and education. This includes responsibilities for implementing, supporting, and maintaining all aspects of computer, telephone, and audio/visual systems ensuring that technology usage fully supports organizational goals. He also has responsibility for information protection including privacy and security. CBS is a nonprofit organization that administers cooperative programs in the areas of health/retirement, property/casualty and consulting/technology to church organizations.

John Parkinson, Partner & Managing Director, ParkWood Advisors, LLC
John has several decades of experience as a program manager, operational executive and consultant. Prior to founding ParkWood Advisors, he was the CTO for Capgemini and a senior partner at EY, where he “wrote the book” on program and project management and served as the head of innovation and strategy. Prior to E&Y he was responsible for the successful delivery of over $1bn in projects in the Middle East, Europe and US. John has a BS in Mathematics and an MS in Information Sciences. He has written five books and numerous columns on managing software development. An example of his work as a solution architect is included in the Computerworld Smithsonian Collection. In 2003 he was named as one of the world’s 25 most influential consultants. In 2005 he was named as one of the Computerworld 100 Leaders in IT.

Allen Darrah, CIO, Spencer Fane
Allen Darrah is an award-winning business leader and technology professional with extensive IT operations, IT security, and IT service design experience.  Allen was a philosophy major and headed to law school before he founded his own technology consultancy. Since then he worked in healthcare IT, and now is the senior technology leader at a national law firm that has grown 300% in the five years since he joined the firm.
