- Linda Honour PMO Officer Lead Allstate Technology & Strategic Ventures Program Management Office

As a newly consolidated organization, the technology PMO established key objectives to transform the organization. Linda Honour, the PMO Officer Lead will share the story, successes and lessons learned in an overview of this PMO transformation.


BIO: Linda Honour is the PMO Lead for the Program Management Office of Allstate Technology & Strategic Ventures (ATSV).  ATSV provides technology support to Allstate’s business units with the PMO accountable for ensuring delivery of over $350 million of discretionary project investments and for establishing consistent delivery practices across the firm. As the lead of the newly created PMO, Linda drove the transformation that increased the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. These efforts brought industry recognition from Celent (Best IT Management Model Insurer), Association of Project Management (Runner-Up Company of the Year), PMI Magazine, Insurance Networking News and Gartner.

Before joining ATSV, Linda was the Senior Managing Director of Investment Technology for Allstate Investments, LLC. , where she managed the technology for the company’s $100 billion investment portfolio across all asset classes.  Linda was accountable for maintaining and implementing the core technology required to support the front, middle and back office business functions including trading, portfolio management, risk management, financial reporting and securities accounting. 

With 25 years experience, Linda joined Allstate in 2006.  She was previously a Sector Information Officer for John Hancock Financial Services.  Prior to joining John Hancock in 1997, Linda was an executive at Prudential Financial where she held a variety of senior technology and operations roles in both investment management and retirement services.

Linda received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Kean College of New Jersey.  She is an enrolled Actuary and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.


Brendan Turner, Director Digital Production, Abelson Taylor

Brendan has 20+ years agency and digital production studio experience in advertising, marketing and interactive technology; He brings a multi-disciplined approach to building interactive experiences that synthesize creative and technical expertise. Brendan has partnered with global brands such as Amgen, Eli Lilly and Co., Absolut, Coca-Cola, Discover Financial and Ford Motor Company, to build activating solutions in channels including mobile, tablet, web, social media and experiential technologies. Brendan holds a BA from the University of Minnesota with a major in philosophy.

Mike Cozzi is a senior business technology leader with vast experience in project management, relationship building, strategic planning, organization design and leadership, vendor management, program management, and systems development lifecycle. Strong business and information technology operations experience in telecommunications, supply chain, and insurance industries. Mike holds a B.A. from Northern Illinois University in Operations Management and Information Systems and a M.B.A. from DePaul University in Leadership/Change Management.  Mike has been a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2001.  Mike is currently the PMO Director at HAVI Global Solutions.  Mike has held various leadership positions at U.S. Cellular, AT&T and CNA prior to joining HAVI Global Solutions.  Mike is involved with Junior Achievement.  Mike was also an adjunct faculty member at Kendall College in 2010 - 2013.


Ram Narain – Vice President PMO, M&A Integrations, Anixter

Ram Narain, has over 20 years experience as a Business & Technology executive, across various industry verticals. His expertise includes: establishment of effective governance processes, M&A Integration, PMO/Portfolio frameworks, and building Program Management Offices (PMO)  from ground up. In his current role at Anixter Ram is responsible for executing the M&A Integration Playbook and rollout of the Enterprise PMO. Prior to joining Anixter, Ram was a Senior Director PMO, Global Initiatives and Planning at Aon where he led the execution of a Global Business Office through a complex merger. Prior to Aon, he was a Program Director at IBM Global Services where he drove the implementation of complex program frameworks and capability maturity models for Fortune 500 clients. He holds a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering & Master’s in Management from Northwestern University. In addition to CSM, PMP, ITILv3 certifications he is also an IBM Certified Executive Program Manager.


Drew Faries, Director, Management Consulting, McGladrey LLP

Moderator: Drew Faries, Director, Management Consulting, McGladrey LLP

Drew is a Director in McGladrey's Technology & Management Consulting practice. He has over sixteen years consulting experience working with clients across government, not-for-profit, financial services, healthcare, professional services and media & entertainment industries.
His project experience extends from strategy definition to lead delivery roles on multi-year transformations in excess of $1b.

Recent projects include development of a digital strategy for state government, transformation planning for a not-for-profit and development of a business case for a leading middle market retailer to replace its e-commerce platform.

He has strong international experience having worked with leading public and private sector institutions across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific region. He recently returned to the US after living in Melbourne, Australia for over six years where he worked across Asia Pacific helping build EY's IT Advisory consulting business.
