Michel Langlois is a distinguished senior executive with an impressive 35+ year career in the networking and software industry in Silicon Valley.
Michel's leadership philosophy is rooted in his ability to transform
organizations through strategic innovation and calculated risk-taking. He is a visionary leader consistently delivering results that drive operational
excellence. As Calix's Chief Development Officer, Michel disrupted the entire Access networking space. He championed the company's Software-Defined Access (SDA) architecture, SW platforms, and best-of-breed systems for fiber, copper, mobile/Wi-Fi distribution, and smart home managed services.Â
Prior to Calix , during his tenure as SVP of Junos software at Juniper Networks, Michel shaped the future of the company's flagship network operating system by driving innovation and efficiency in software development processes. Under his leadership, the team streamlined release cycles, improved software quality, and delivered cutting-edge features that enhanced the capabilities of Juniper's products.Â
During his tenure at Cisco Systems as SVP of Network Software and
System Technology, Michel built and led one of the most inventive
engineering and networking teams in the industry. Over more than a
decade, his contributions were instrumental in establishing Cisco's IOS
(Internetwork Operating System) as a cornerstone of the connected world. Recognized as the 11th top CTO in the US in 2022, Michel Langlois is a trailblazer in sustainable technology solutions, setting a precedent for innovation and leadership in the industry.
Michel welcomed the opportunity as a member of the Technology Executive Club to share his experiences with colleagues about Software Development at large scale and over different life cycles of a company from startup to growth to incumbency to renewal and re-invention.​ Michel can advise, coach, mentor or share heard learned experience ( The Good, the Bad, the Ugly) in tailored type of engagements​.
